Description
Discover the fascinating world of indium metal with our high-quality 99.995% pure indium.
Indium is a soft, silvery-white metal known for its remarkable malleability - it's so soft you can easily bend, cut, or leave an impression in it with just your fingernail.
This 1kg ingot is perfect for hobbyists, collectors, and science enthusiasts alike. Indium is about 7.3 times heavier than water, so this solid 1kg ingot is surprisingly compact for its weight.
Your indium ingot will arrive in solid form. Indium has a melting point of 156.6°C (313.9°F), so it will remain solid under normal conditions.
Key Features
High Purity: Contains 99.995% indium for reliable quality.
Quantity: 1kg ingot for multiple uses and projects.
Extremely Malleable: Soft enough to cut with a knife or mark with a fingernail.
Safe and Non-Toxic: Ideal for educational environments.
Versatile: Used across electronics, soldering, and scientific applications.
Applications
Educational Tool: Demonstrate metal malleability, density, and physical properties of rare metals.
Soldering and Electronics: Indium is widely used in lead-free solders, thermal interface compounds, and semiconductor manufacturing.
Scientific and Industrial: Used in touchscreen displays (as indium tin oxide), vacuum seals, and cryogenic applications.
Please Note
While indium is non-toxic, wash hands after handling as with any metal.
Embrace the magic of science with our pure indium metal ingot - a must-have for your collection or workshop!

Common Questions
Is gallium safe?
Yes — it is non-toxic and safe to handle with normal care. Wash your hands with soap and warm water afterwards, and keep it out of reach of small children. Keep it away from aluminium: gallium permanently embrittles aluminium, and the damage cannot be reversed.
What documentation comes with my order?
A Safety Data Sheet is supplied with every order, as standard — you can also download the current SDS (PDF) at any time. Our gallium is 99.99% (4N) pure. Certificates of analysis are available on request for schools, universities and other institutional buyers — just ask when you order.
How do I clean it up?
If it solidifies on a surface, warm it with a hair dryer until it melts and wipe it up with a paper towel. Warm soapy water helps with any residue. Don't use aluminium foil or aluminium tools to scrape it.
